We collected pillows, blankets, and most anythign we could to benefit this wonderful Homeless Shelter located in McKinney, TX.
Operation Kindness

This charity benefited the largest no-kill animal shelter in North Texas!

We collected school supplies to beneft John Runyon Elementary School in Balch Springs, TX.
American Red Cross

We collected funds to benefit the Victims of Hurrican Ike.
North Texas Food Bank

We will collect food and money for the North Texas Food Bank. No matter what county we live in this is one agency that is a source of help for all our communities.

The Dallas Chapter Cookbook was completed, and we began selling them right away. This project benefited the Children at the Dallas Scottish Rite Hospital.
Community Outreach 2007
Sock-it-to-ya!
February - March
Socks and underwear for men and women, boys and girls are being collected to be donated to the DALLAS LIFE FOUNDATION. This organization helps the homeless get back on their feet and return to a productive role is society. They help families as well as individuals.
What’s Cooking?
April - June
We will continue to collect recipes for a Dallas Chapter cookbook from which the sales will benefit the Texas Scottish Rite hospital for children. We need your recipes to be submitted to cookbook@apadallas.com no later than the end of April 2007. We will also need volunteers to help compile the cookbook and last but not least we will need a cover for the cookbook. If anyone has prior cookbook compiling experience, or if you would like to jump in and help compile one for the first time we would appreciate your help.

We will collect food and money for the North Texas Food Bank. No matter what county we live in this is one agency that is a source of help for all our communities.
What We did in 2006:
The Dallas Chapter APA collected $193.00 for the VNA which supports the Meals on Wheels program. We had a guest from VNA speak and distributed information about meals on wheels to encourage members to volunteer.
The Dallas Chapter APA had members who participated in the Great American Heart Walk and as a chapter we raised $1300.00 for the American Heart Association.
The Dallas Chapter APA contributed food and $243.00 for the North Texas Food Bank.
